2 tsp dried oregano
2 x 15oz (425 g) mixed beans drained and rinsed
1 3/4 cup pale ale
3 3/4 cup hot vegetable stock

Here is how you make Mixed Bean Medley:

1) Heat oil. Add onion and salt. Cook approx. 5 mins. Stir in garlic, and cook 30 secs. 2) Increase heat slightly, add bacon. Cook until golden. Drain excess fat. Sprinkle with pepper flakes and oregano. Stir in beans3) Pour in ale, bring to boil and cook over high heat for five mins. Add stock, reduce heat and simmer gently for 20 - 25mins, stirring occasionally (until thickens). Season with salt and pepper.
