take kale off of stem, wash and slice. Add to boiling water and boil 5 minutes until nearly tender. Heat oil, If chicken is raw, stir fry it now, when nearly done add carrots, scallions and garlic, saute a couple minutes. (if chicken is cook, toss it in to heat through).
