What Are The Ingredients For Plantains, Beans, and Rice Recipe?The ingredients for Plantains, Beans, and Rice are: 2 medium fairly ripe plantains1 tsp olive oil 1 15 oz can black beans 1 container Minute Ready to Serve Brown rice 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1 tsp. hot sauce (or to taste) 1/4 cup water How Do I Make Plantains, Beans, and Rice?Here is how you make Plantains, Beans, and Rice: put some parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Peel plantains and cut on the diagonal into 1/2 inch slices. Lay on the parchment paper and spray with olive oil (I used my Misto sprayer). Bake at 300 for 15 minutes; turn plantain slices over and spray again, bake for another 15 minutes ot until golden brown.In the meantime, drain and rinse the black beans and add them and the container of brown rice to a medium suacepan. Add a little water and mash the beans a little bit. Heat over medium heat; add cumin and hot sauce to taste. When the plantains are ready, add them to the saucepan and stir.
