This recipe is modified from one I found on Cooking Light, mainly because I didn't have some of the ingredients on hand! It's still REALLY tasty. What Are The Ingredients For Salmon Chowder Recipe?The ingredients for Salmon Chowder are: 8 oz. salmon1 T. maple syrup 1 T. rice vinegar 1 t. ground ginger 1 t. butter 3 c. chopped onion 1 t. celery seed 1/4 c. flour 1 c. chicken broth 1 t. fish sauce 1 medium potato, peeled and diced 2 medium carrots, diced 3.5 c. milk 2 t. dried dill How Do I Make Salmon Chowder?Here is how you make Salmon Chowder: Marinate: Mix the maple syrup, vinegar and ginger in a dish. Marinate the salmon in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.Spray a pan with cooking spray. Bake the salmon 10 minutes on one side, 7 minutes on the other. Let it cool, then break it into chunks.Melt the butter in a large saucepan. Cook the onions for 5 minutes. Add the celery seed and flour and cook for 1 minute. Add the broth gradually, then the fish sauce. Bring it to a boil and cook for another minute or two--it will start to thicken. Stir in the milk, potatoes and carrot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Add the salmon, dill and salt to taste and cook for another 10 minutes.
