Heat oil, add chopped onions and crushed garlic over medium heat, stirring frequently until tender. Allow to cool. Cook asparagus; drain and refresh under cold water and pat dry. Cut into 2 inch lengths. Lightly grease an 8" square baking dish. Beat eggs and stir in onions & garlic, asparagus, cheese, half the parmesan and salt and pepper. Put in pan and top with tomatoes (cut in half). Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 25-30 minutes until puffed up and firm in the center.
