*Cumin seed, 1 tsp

Here is how you make Chilli con Carne, no beans:

Brown the mince in a pan with the onion and some ground pepper. In the meantime, boil 1/2 pint water and mix with 4 tsp of gravy. Place in a saucepan and add the finely chopped red pepper, 2 tsp of chilli powder and 3 or 4 pinches of paprika (or make it as hot as you like). When the meat has browned, drain it off and pour in the saucepan. Add the passata, stir thoroughly and let it simmer for 30 minutes. Boil 1 bag of Uncle Ben's "boil in a bag" long grain rice and add it to the saucepan in the end.
