Truth be told, I haven't tried this recipe yet. However, I was looking for something to take the place of refried beans as a side dish for tacos and didn't find what I was looking for on SP. The original recipe from Food.com called for 1/4 cup of oil and 2 cans of beans, but I thought I'd slim it down a bit. Once I make it I'll clarify what a true serving size is, but I'm guessing it will be around 3/4 cup.It would be fun to stir in some Pice de Gallo or maybe top with some Oaxaca cheese like they do in restaurants!

Remove from heat and mash with potato masher, incorporating onions. Put back on low heat, stir in 1/2-1 cup of water to thin out mixture until it barely holds shape on spoon.
