1/2 red or white onion
1 red pepper, chopped
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 15.5 oz can white or red beans
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 tsp. cayenne
2 tsp. red pepper flakes
2 dashes of tabasco sauce
2 tsp. white pepper
2 tsp. black pepper
salt (to taste)


How Do I Make Karen's Texas Chili?

Here is how you make Karen's Texas Chili:

Yeilds 8 cups, serving size is 1 cupPan saute ground turkey meat in electric fry pan or use medium size sauce pot. Add onions, garlic and all spices while meat is cooking. (Note: For a more beef-like flavor, use no-sodium beef boullion and mix with 1/4 c. of hot water before pouring over turkey meat.) Once meat is fully cooked, add diced tomatoes and mix tomato paste with 1/2 cup of water before pouring into mixture. Add white beans and red peppers last. Let simmer for 20-30.
