* Canola Oil, 1/2 cup
* Banana, fresh, 2 large
* Water, HOT - 1 cup
* Baking Soda, 2 tsp
* Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, 5 tbsp
* Granulated Sugar, 1 cup
* Silk, Vanilla Soymilk, 2/3 cup
* Organic All-Purpose White Flour, 2 cup




Bananas: They can be ripe to overripe. Think soft like for making banana bread. If they're not terribly soft, whip the daylights out of them in a blender or with your electric mixer.
Milk: I prefer Silk. You may like a different brand. Anything but that EnerG soy drink will work. Think, 'can i drink a glass of it without gagging.' If it's good enough to drink straight, then it will work in your cake.
Sugar: Regular sugar will work, provided it's cane sugar(beet sugar seems to be a nono for vegans.) Or you can skip the whole controversy and get some turbinado sugar from the bulk bins. Turbinado measures exactly the same as white sugar, so no worries. (It also tastes very nice in coffee)
Water: It must be hot. As hot as you can get it from the tap.

Steps:Mix the oil, sugar, vanilla and bananas. When you have a nice thick banana-y sludge going on, add in the cocoa, baking soda and soymilk. Finally, add the flour 1 cup at a time. It will get REALLY thick like brownies. At this point add the water and mix again. Now it will be a very sloppy mixture. Pour it into greased pan - an 8 inch pan will work.
