1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
1 tsp. baking soda


How Do I Make Carmel Puffed Corn?

Here is how you make Carmel Puffed Corn:

Put Puffcorn into a large baking pan. In saucepan, heat butter, brown sugar, corn syrup to boiling and boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add baking soda. Sitr rapidly until foamy and pour over puffcorn. Stir to coat. Bake in a 250 degree oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Spread out onto waxed paper and let cool. Store covered or in baggies. Makes 15 cups.
