How Do I Make Jam Buns?

Here is how you make Jam Buns:

Sift flour and salt into a bowl. Add slightly softened cubes of butter (you don't want it melted) and rub butter into flour and salt until a fine bread-crumb like texture is formed. Add the sugar and stir. Then stir in the milk till a dough is formed- be careful not to over mix! Take out dough and knead lightly on a lightly floured board/surface. Separate the dough into 12 even pieces - these should each be about the size of an egg. If larger, make more jam buns. Form them into round balls with your hands and place them on a greased baking tray. Using your thumb, press down the centre of the 12 pieces of dough LIGHTLY so it forms a little dent in the centre. Fill the dent with jam. Be careful not to over fill it, because when cooking the jam will heat up and spread slightly. Place in the oven on CLASSIC bake for about 20 minutes.
