How Do I Make Zena's chard?

Here is how you make Zena's chard:

Chop the onions into quartered slices, and mince or press the garlic.Combine them in a pan, with 3 TBSP of the olive oil. Saute gently on low until onions are carmelized. Chop your chard into manageable pieces, and throw into a large saucepan of boiling water. Reduce heat to medium, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.Drain chard, and put it back in the saucepan.Add your onions and garlic, along with however much oil is left in the pan.Add brown sugar, almonds, the last TBSP of olive oil, and vinegar, stir until mixed.Place saucepan on low heat, saute all ingredients for a few minutes. Add a few squeezes of fresh lemon, and serve.Salt and pepper to taste.Makes approximately 4 servings.You can substitute white vinegar, but I prefer rice. Also, after adding the vinegar, if you like the extra tang, you could add as desired. You could also use some butter in place of the oil.
