Preheat oven to 375 degrees.Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles. Fold american cheese slices in half, and then in half again to have 8 squares. Place a cheese square on the wide edge of the triangle (short side).Drain asparagus spears. Divide the spears into 8 equal portions and place 1 portion horizontally over cheese at edge of triangle. Roll up crescent (with cheese & asparagus ) as tightly as possible toward point of triangle.Place point side down on cookie sheet (a teflon pan or silicone sheet works great).
