Here is how you make Mom's Boston Baked Beans:

Soak beans overnight. When ready, cover with fresh water and bring to a boil for 5-10 minutes, skimming foam. Meanwhile, place 1/2 lb diced salt pork/bacon into bottom of bean pot. Add 1/2C molasses and 1/4C honey or maple syrup. Add 1t dry mustard. Add beans with just enough water to cover. Retain extra water to add as necessary to beanpot while cooking.
