Here is how you make Applesauce-Nut Bread:

In large bowl, combine the sugar, applesauce, oil, eggs, milk and flavoring. Beat well. Combine the flour, soda, baking powder, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Mix into the creamed mixture. Fold in 3/4 cup of the nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan.Combine the brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and remaining nuts. Sprinkle over top of batter in pan. Bake in 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cover with foil. Return to oven for another 30 minutes or until done.
