Two Granny Smith Apples (Skin ON)
~One and a half cups of red wine (or to taste)
~Half of a cup of Red Wine Vinegar
~Black Currant or Juniper Berries to taste(I use 12-15 berries)~Two Red Onions
~Half of cup of Salt Butter
~Half of a cup of Brown Sugar or to taste
~1 Can of beef broth can be Chicken or Vegetable plus one can of water

Other spices..

Juniper Berries..I prefer black currant which has a similar taste and I have lots on my property. 15/20 berries..pending your taste.

Cloves to taste
salt to taste
White Pepper to taste

Chopp I medium Red Cabbage accordingly and set aside.Sautee two cups of Red Onions with butter on Medium Low Heat when onions turn nice light brown.( Salt to taste)~ Add Beef or favorite broth plus one can of water~ -Add chopped apples with skin on_one cup or to taste red wine.-add half a cup of red wine Vinegar-Add Brown Sugar about half of a cup or to taste.Heat everything nicely over the medium low heat for about 15 minutes then Add to your "Cabbage PotMix everything accordingly and adjust your seasonings to taste. I leave the Pot lid partially on.The cabbage will have to cook down however some prefer to eat it after 45 or so.I like my cabbage some what tender with a bit of a bite.
