Here is how you make Carrots Au Gratin:

Preheat oven to 350. Steam carrots until tender but still firm, about 6-10 min; drain. Combine crackers with 1 Tbsp butter:mix well and set aside. In med skillet, heat remaining butter, and saute onion until tender. Add flour, salt, and pepper stirring constantly to prevent browning. Slowly pour in milk stirring constantly. Increase heat, and cook until bubbly and thickened. Add cheese; stir til smooth. Fold in carrots.Pour mixture into baking disk and sprinkle with crumb mixture.
