Here is how you make Rolled Cheddar Garlic Biscuits:

Pre-heat oven to 450. Cut shortening into flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic, salt, and cheese. Combine until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in milk until dough leaves sides of bowl. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead for about 5 minutes; Roll out dough approx. 1/2 in thick. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, about 1 inch apart. Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet onto wire cooling rack.
