1. Cut large stems out of kale and set aside. Chop stems into 1/4 in pieces and chop leaves into 3 in pieces.2. Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion and kale stems and cook until softened and slightly browned (5-7 mins). Stir in garlic and pepper flakes and cook until fragrant about 1 min. Stir in broth and 1/2 tsp salt and bring to simmer.3. Add kale leaves, cover, and cook stirring occasionally, until kale is tender, 13 to 15 mins.4. Remove lid and increase heat to medium-high. Cook, stirring occasionally until most liquid has evaporated and greens begin to sizzle, 10-13 mins.
