Here is how you make Stove Top English Muffins:

1. Warm milk in a small sauce pan until it starts to foam, remove from heat. Mix in sugar until it dissolves. Let cool until lukewarm. 2. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand for 10 minutes until foamy3. In a large bowl, combine milk, yeast, butter and 3 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Add salt and last of flour. Begin to kneed until dough is soft. Place back in the bowl, cover and let rise for 30 minutes. 4. Once dough has finished rising, place on counter and punch down to remove excess air. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick.5. Using a biscuit cutter or cup, cut out muffins. Sprinkle wax paper with cornmeal and set the muffins out for another 30 minutes to continue rising. 6. Dust off top of muffins with cornmeal, cover and let stand again for 30 minutes. Set oven to 200. 7. Heat pan to medium and grease pan. Cook each muffin 10 minutes on each side. Place on a pan in the oven to keep warm until you have finished cooking all of the muffins on the stove. 8. Set muffins to cool. Then store in plastic bag.
