Here is how you make Sweet and Spicy Broccoli:

Boil water in a large pan and fill up a large bowl with half water, half ice cubes. Drop the broccoli into the water for about 1-2 minutes then remove and immediately put into the cold water to stop the cooking. In a small bowl mix the parmesan cheese and brown sugar together, set aside. Drain the broccoli and place it into a bowl lined with paper towels to absorb the remaining water. Heat oil in a large skillet and toss in broccoli, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Cook stirring frequently for about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat, add parmesan mixture and toss.
