Here is how you make BookwormCB's Candied Sweet Potatoes:

Preheat oven to 350. Peel and slice sweet potatoes into 1 inch slices. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Brown sweet potatoes on both sides. Mix molasses with 1/2 cup warm water. Add the equivilent of 1/2 cup sugar in non calorie sweetner and stir. Pour over potatoes and stir around to deglaze the pan. Place in oven or transfer to baking dish and bake at 350 about 90 minutes or until tender.
