1/2 cup plain active culture yogurt

1-2 cups powdered milk




How Do I Make Crockpot yogurt?

Here is how you make Crockpot yogurt:

Pour 1 gallon of milk into the crockpot. To help thicken the yogurt, add 2-3 cups of powdered milk.Heat on low til it reaches 180 degrees.Unplug and cool down until it hits 95-115 degrees.Take 1/2 cup plain yogurt (it needs to contain live cultures) mix it with a cup or so of the milk. Stir til blended smoothly. Then put back in the crockpot and mix it all up.Wrap the crockpot up in a big bath towel and put it in the oven with the oven light on. Leave that way overnight or 8-12 hours. In the morning you will have a crockpot full of yummy goodness!! Put in the fridge for a few hours to cool.
