Preheat oven to 350. Bring garlic powder & 4 cups water to boil in large saucepan over med-high heat. Gradually stir in grits. Reduce heat to medium, and cook, stirring often, 5 minutes or until thickened. remove from heat and stir in onion and 3 TBS butter.Whisk together eggs, and next 4 ingredients in large bowl. Gradually stir in the grits. Pour into lightly greased 13x9 baking dish. Melt 2 TBS butter and toss with crushed crutons. Sprinkle this mixture over grits.
