Here is how you make Baked Butternut Squash:

Cut one whole acorn squash in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Put a tablwspoon or so of light margarine or butter in each half and add a few Tablespoons of unsweetened applesauce to each half. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and cinnamon to taste. Place halves in a small casserole dish and bake at 400 F for about 45 minutes. Squash should be soft when you stick a fork in it.
