1 lb ground turkey
1 cup chopped onions
3 slices turkey bacon
3 slices regular bacon
2 15 oz cans pork & beans (drained)
1 15 oz can black beans (drained)
1 15 oz can great northern beans (drained)
1 16 oz can pinto beans (drained)
2 Tbl molasses
1/2 tsp Sweet Leaf dark stevia concentrate (or 1/2 cup brown sugar)
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup catsup
1 tsp dry mustard

Here is how you make Calico Beans:

Fry bacon, when done set aside on paper towel. Add onion to the pan. Then add ground turkey and cook till done and nicely browned. While meat is cooking start to combine all other ingredients into a crock pot. Once done, add the meat mixture. Start out on high setting for at least 1/2 hr then lower heat for another hour or more. This dish is great for leftovers....even better the next day.Recipe calculations use Stevia....can substitute with brown sugar substitute (Splenda) or with brown sugar.
