Here is how you make Southern-Style Buttermilk Biscuits:

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees on a low fan setting -Sift all dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl with paddle attachment. Add shortening and butter and mix on medium until fats are fully incorporated into dry ingredients. -Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the chilled buttermilk. Stir just until the dough comes together.
