After seeing the nutrition info on the back of jars of peanut butter, and not liking what I saw, I decided to make my own. It was so easy and simple to make! For this recipe I used 2 cups of unsalted dry-roasted peanuts in my food processor, a half teaspoon of vegetable oil to smooth out the texture, and a dash of salt for flavor.

Here is how you make Simple Peanut Butter:

I started by adding the peanuts to the food processor and blending until it had a creamy, butter-like texture. This took a minute or two. Then I added the oil and blended a few seconds more. Then I added a dash of salt, and pulsed a few more times. It came out pretty darn good, if I do say myself. There is a slight grittiness to it, but I don't mind.Serving Size:?16-20 tablespoons, or 1-1.5 cups of peanut butter.
