Here is how you make Sweet Potato Casserole with topping:

Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Place potatoes in a large pot and add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and add salt if desired. Reduce heat and simmer until very soft, 20-25 minutes. Drain potatoes and return to pot. Mash potatoes. Add granulated sugar, orange juice, melted butter, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon and mix well.In a small bowl, combine pecans and brown sugar.
