Here is how you make Scalloped Mushrooms And Cauliflower:

Preheat the oven to 350. Place 1" of water and florets into a 6 quart stockpot and bring to a boil. Cook, covered, for 7-10 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside. In a large saucepan, combine the mushrooms and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Drain, reserving 1/3 cup of the cooking liquid. Set aside both the mushrooms and water until needed. In the same saucepan, heat 3 tablespoons of the butter over medium heat until hot. Add shallots and mushrooms. Cook and stir until shallots are tender and lightly browned. Stir in flour, salt, and paprika until blended. Gradually stir in the cream and reserved mushroom water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, for 2-3 minutes or until thickened. Place the florets in a greased 11x7" baking dish. Cover with the mushroom sauce and sprinkle with cheese, then bread crumbs.
