8 oz - Pasta macaroni, cooked according to box. Al dente
16 oz -Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated

3- Egg, fresh, large
1/2 tsp Granulated Sugar
2- 12oz cans evaporated, nonfat milk,
2- cups Milk, 2%
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne
Tabasco Sauce, 1 tsp
1 tbsp butter, diced up

Here is how you make Aunt Betty's Cheese and Macaroni:

Cook pasta by boiling about 11-13 minutes or according to box directions. Al dente describes pasta that has been cooked so as to be firm but not hard. drain and spray with "Pam"In a 9x13 inch baking dish (about 2 quarts) sprayed with vegetable spray, layer pasta and cheese. End with cheese.reserve a little cheese for later.In a large mixing bowl beat eggs,sugar,salt ,pepper and Tabasco.Add can milk ; mix well.Add 1/2 of 2% milk.Pour egg/milk mixture over the macaroni; pat the top with your spoon to get the milk into pasta and get the pasta to float. Add remaining milk, but allow 1/2 inch of head space. Dot the top with butter and sprinkle reserved cheeseand paprika.Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in a preheated oven (375 degrees) Should be light brown,bubbly, congealing texture.Remove from oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes to set before serving.
