This is an easy lower-sodium crock pot recipe for pinto beans. I like eating a big bowl of these for lunch. But they probably would make a decent side dish. I originally made a variation of this using a packet of taco seasoning, but it was way too salty. I adjusted by incorporating Sparkpeople's no-salt taco seasoning recipe into this particular recipe. For those who desire a little salt, you can add it to suit their own taste. I know I'll be making this a lot, and I'll probably experiment from time to time using different salsa's, etc.I used 2 cups pinto beans for calculating the nutritional information. Wasn't any info for dried beans. I apologize for any miscalculation that might have possibly occurred.
