How Do I Make Lower Carb and Fat Tortillas?

Here is how you make Lower Carb and Fat Tortillas:

Mix your flour and baking powder and salt together in a large bowl.Add the oil and then add the warmed milk.Mix it all together really well, I use a stand or hand mixer with a dough hook.Once it has made a solid dough, either use the dough paddle on a mixer, or knead by hand for about 3 or 4 minutes.Let the dough sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.Form 10 equal balls of the dough and let them sit for another 10 minutes.Take one ball and either press in a tortilla press or do like I do and start rolling it out.Meanwhile, bring a nonstick pan to medium high heat.Once you have one rolled out as flat as you can possibly make it, put it in the pan.It will make bubbles, After 30 seconds to a minute, flip it over and cook the other side for the same amount of time.Remove from the pan and place on a plate, under foil.Adjust your heat as needed to cook them to a tender texture.Stack them under the foil as finished and they will stay soft and warm and fluffy.***The key to soft and tender tortillas is in resting them. If they don't get to rest the full 20 minutes, they will be kinda tough. Okay for quesadillas, but not really for burritos or fajitas or wrap sandwiches. ***Number of Servings: 10Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user CORNFLAKE422.
