Rinse & drain sauerkraut repeatedly until it no longer smells sour. Place in a clean towel and squeeze dry. Chop sauerkraut until fine.Melt margarine/butter over medium heat. Add onion and cook until transparent. Add sauerkraut and cook until heated through.If you like, you may add finely chopped mushrooms to this.
