This is a good side dish that I make for my family. Since my kids do not like asparagus but will eat this, its a good choice for picky eaters. The bacon and eggs in it make it not taste like "yucky asparagus".

What Are The Ingredients For Asparagus (fried) Recipe?

The ingredients for Asparagus (fried) are:

1 cup Yellow Cornmeal
1 lb bacon
8 eggs
3 tbsp soy sauce
6 cups asparagus (cut into 1 inch pieces)
pepper to taste




Fry up the bacon and drain most of the fat from the pan. While bacon is cooking, wash and trim asparagus to about 1 inch lengths. Put cornmeal in a baggie and then add asparagus. Shake bag to coat asparagus with cornmeal.
Pour contents of bag in with cooked bacon. Fry until the cornmeal starts to brown with the asparagus.
Whip 8 eggs with 3 tbsp of soy sauce and set aside.
Once you allow the cornmeal/asparagus/bacon to cook a bit then pour the eggs into the mixture. Make sure to allow the eggs to coat the asparagus and bacon mixture. (You may use more eggs if you like alot of eggs).
Cook until the eggs are done and then reduce heat to simmer and cover with a lid. This will allow the mixture to steam a bit and finish cooking the asparagus.
THis is a GOOD side dish for those that like asparagus but are tired of broiled, steamed or other asparagus.
