1/2 box Jiffy Corn Muffin mix (approx. 3 servings)
1/2 cup flaxseed meal
2 cups Cheerios, pulverized to powder
1 tbsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
4 egg whites (large)
1/4 cup almond milk
3 cups canola oil


How Do I Make Southern Hippie Fried Okra?

Here is how you make Southern Hippie Fried Okra:

Pour oil into deep skillet or fryer, heat at medium for approximately 15 minutes.Blend well corn muffin mix, cheerios, flaxseed meal, salt and pepper in large mixing bowl. Set aside.Blend egg whites and almond milk until frothy.Wash okra in egg whites/almond milk and then toss in dry mixture until evenly covered.Pour okra into hot oil. Fry for ten - 12 minutes.
