How Do I Make Linda's Fruit Scones?

Here is how you make Linda's Fruit Scones:

1) Mix the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl. Cut in the lard, and using a pastry blender, blend the lard into the dry mix, until you have a crumbly mix. 2) Stir the dry fruit into the dry mixture. 3) In a medium bowl, whisk the egg, and add the vanilla and milk. Stir in the buttermilk powder. 4) Stir the wet mix into the dry mix, and stir it until it is well mixed. Divide the dough into 2 balls. 5) Grease a large cookie sheet and set aside. Form the 2 balls of dough, into flattened even disc shapes, about an inch high. Place onto the greased cookie sheet. Brush with the last listed bit of milk, and sprinkle with the last listed bit of sugar. 6) Place into 400'F preheated oven, and bake for about 25 minutes.
