Water, tap, 0.5 cup *Flour, white, 2 1/2 cups *Wheat flour, 2 cups How Do I Make Pat's Hot Rolls? Here is how you make Pat's Hot Rolls: Beat together sugar, Crisco, and salt. Add egg. Dissolve dry yeast in 1/2 c. warm tap water. Add warmed milk to sugar and shortening mix, stirring to prevent egg in mixture from curdling. Add yeast mixture. Begin adding flour 1 cup at a time until all flour has been added. Dough should be elastic and smooth. Turn out dough onto floured board or cabinet. Knead until smooth ball. Let dough rest for 10 minutes. Grease glass or metal bowl well with Crisco or olive oil. Put ball of dough into bowl and then turn over so all the dough is covered with Crisco or oil. Cover top of bowl tightly with clear plastic and set bowl out of drafts (on the back of the stove is usually a good place). Let dough double in size (takes about 30-45 minutes). Punch the middle of the dough and turn out on floured board or cabinet. (I use heavy-duty foil sprinkled with flour so that when I'm through I can just throw the whole thing away. Saves on clean-up.) Cut dough into strips and then cut strips into pieces. Grease a pan with Crisco or olive oil, placing each dough roll about 1-1/2 inches apart. Cover pan with a clean towel and let rolls rise till double in size. It might take about 30 minutes. This roll dough can also be used to make delicious cinnamon rolls as well. It is sweet and light. The less you handle the dough, the lighter it will be.Makes about 36 large dinner rolls.Number of Servings: 10Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user DORISANNMILLER.What's The Nutritional Info For Pat's Hot Rolls? The nutritional information for Pat's Hot Rolls is:
