Here is how you make PARISGRL7's Rustic Oatmeal Rolls:

In a large bowl, mix together oats, 1/4 cup whole wheat flour, sugar, salt, butter and boiling water. Stir ingredients and let sit for 30 minutes to cool. Next stir in yeast. Pour mixture into food processor, add remaining 1 cup whole wheat flour, 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour and begin forming dough. Knead dough about 5 minutes and shape into ball. Pour oil over bowl and dough, making sure to grease all sides of dough ball. Cover with damp kitchen towel and allow to rise in a warm area. The dough should double in size, in about 1 hour. Remove ball from bowl, dividing dough into 8-11 balls. Place them evenly spaced apart on sprayed parchment paper tucked into bottom and sides, lining the bottom of the slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH, 2 1/2 hours. Remove rolls by grasping edges of parchment paper and lifting being careful not to touch the hot sides of the cooker.
