3/4 whole wheat flour

1 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
2 tsp. dill seed
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup low fat buttermilk
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. butter
1 medium egg

Here is how you make Cottage Onion Dill Buns:

In bread machine, first put in the yeast followed by all dry ingredients, including dill and onion flakes. Warm cottage cheese and buttermilk to lukewarm, add water and baking soda. Stir in the egg and softened butter. Add the liquid to the dry ingredients in the bread machine. Set the bread machine to dough mode. When the dough has cycled and risen to the top, take out and shape into buns. Place in pan that has been sprayed with PAM. Let rise again for 20-30 minutes and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.Makes 15 nice sized buns. I made these into 24 small buns for a pot luck Christmas dinner and this would reduce the calories to less than 75 calories per bun.
