Preheat oven to 425. Slice a roma tomato into very thin slices. In skillet, heat butter and sautee onion and mushrooms. While these are sauteeing, clean portabella caps, take stems out, and place caps on grilling pan. Sprinkle caps with salt. Spread a few tablespoons of marinara sauce on each cap. Next, place a few slices of tomato on top of marina sauce. Place portabellas in oven and cook for 10 minutes. Take them out and add sauteed onions and mushrooms. Bake for another 10 minutes.
