Here is how you make Dirty rice:

Cook brown rice (1 c. uncooked with 2 c. water. Bring water to boil, add rice and stir. Cover and simmer over low heat approximately 45 minutes.)Pour oil in fry pan and saute sunflower seeds till LIGHTLY browned and then add onions and mushrooms. Stir and saute just a little longer and add rice.
