1 cup 2 % milk
6 cups hot water

1 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. garlic powder

Here is how you make L.R sausage gravy:

Place the all-purpose flour into a large dry cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Stir until golden brown. Remove flour from skillet and place into a bowl. In a large sauce brown the sausage. Remove from pan. Melt butter in same pan and add onion. Cook and stir until lightly browned. Add sausage back to pan. Combine browned flour and whole wheat flour. Whisk in enough of the hot water to make a thin slurry. (about 2 or 3 cups). Add flour mixture to pan along with milk and seasoning. Bring to a boil while stirring. Boil for about 2 minutes.
