Here is how you make Coffeehouse Scones:

Heat oven to 400. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.In a large bowl, mix flour, 1/3 cup sugar, baking powder, & baking soda. Cut in butter until fine crumbs. Stir in chocolate chips. In a medium bowl, whisk buttermilk, espresso powder,vanilla & egg yolk. Stir into flour mixture just until dough forms.On a floured surface, press dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with 3 inch cookie cutter. Place on cookie sheet, brush with milk& sprinkle with 1 TBS sugar,Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Move to cooling rack.In a small microwavable bowl, microwave baking chocolate until softened.
