2 lbs. Brussels Sprouts, washed and cut in half
4 oz. lean deli ham, cut into small strips
1 small onion, diced
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 cup chicken broth
Salt and Pepper to taste


How Do I Make Braised Brussels Sprouts?

Here is how you make Braised Brussels Sprouts:

Spray a saute pan with non-stick cooking spray and add ham. Saute on medium to medium high heat until ham browns and begins to get crispy. Remove and drain on a paper towel. Reserve. Add oil and onion to the hot pan. Saute onion until translucent and just starting to turn slightly brown. Add brussels sprouts and toss with onions until well mixed. Add 1/2 cup or so of chicken broth, cover, and cook until brussels sprouts are the desired degree of tenderness. Add salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle ham over sprouts just before serving.
