What Are The Ingredients For The Best Brussels Sprouts You'll Ever Eat Recipe?

The ingredients for The Best Brussels Sprouts You'll Ever Eat are:

1/2 package Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon, chopped into small pieces (could try other brands, but I like the flavor the Oscar Mayer brand adds to this recipe)
1 large Vidalia onion, chopped
3 cloves of fresh garlic, minced fine
2 pounds fresh Brussels sprouts, cleaned, cored, and quartered
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Butter, melted
1/2 cup good quality white wine (I use Pinot Grigio)
3/4 c Chicken Broth
Fresh ground Pepper and Sea Salt to taste

How Do I Make The Best Brussels Sprouts You'll Ever Eat?

Here is how you make The Best Brussels Sprouts You'll Ever Eat:

Over med-high heat, in a large skillet (big enough to hold all the sprouts) saute the chopped turkey bacon, chopped onion, and minced garlic. The bacon will not give off grease, so stir frequently to keep the bacon from sticking to the pan. When the bacon starts to crisp and the onions are beginning to carmelize, add the quartered Brussels sprouts to the pan and drizzle with melted butter and oil. Stir to coat evenly, and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring regularly. Add the wine to the pan and scrape any little bits of bacon from the pan. Add the chicken broth, salt and pepper to taste, and mix evenly. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or so to gently reduce the liquid. Transfer everything to a large casserole dish, bake at 475 until the sprouts are cooked, about 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool slightly before serving, as dish will be very hot!Number of Servings: 8Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user CASE4GRACE.
