1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 mins.2. Mix sugar, salt, 2 tbsp melted butter, egg into yeast mixture. Stir in flour 1/2 cup at a time, until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. 3. Turn dough out onto a well floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 mins. 4. Lightly oil a large bowl, place dough in bowl and turn to coat. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 hr.5.
