2 1/2 c. white flour
1 tbsp. butter, melted

Here is how you make Light Wheat Rolls:

Dissolve sugar in warm water. Add yeast and allow to proof until creamy, about 10 minutes.Mix salt, oil, egg, and whole wheat flour into yeast mixture. Stir in white flour, 1/2 c. at a time, until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl, making sure the dough isn't too stiff. Knead in electric mixer for 2 minutes. Turn dough into a lightly greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.Punch dough down and divide into two equal parts. Set one piece aside. Roll into a 6x18" rectangle. Cut into 12 equal strips with a pizza cutter. Roll into a spiral. Place in a greased muffin cup. repeat with remaining dough. Cover with a towel and let rise for 30 minutes, until doubled in size. Heat oven to 375 and bake for 12-15 minutes, until lightly browned. After removing from oven, brush with melted butter.
