1/4 Cup ground flax seeds
1/3 Cup Wheat Germ
1/2 Cup Pecans, chopped
1/2 Cup Almonds, raw, sliced
2 Tbsp. Cinnamon, ground
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup Honey
1/3 cup Canola Oil
1/3 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed
1 tsp Vanilla Extract


How Do I Make Slow Cooked Peanut Butter Granola?

Here is how you make Slow Cooked Peanut Butter Granola:

In 4 quart or larger slow cooker, stir together oats, flax meal, wheat germ, pecans, almonds, cinnamon and salt. In microwave safe bowl, blend honey, oil, peanut butter, brown sugar and vanilla. Heat mixture in microwave, stirring frequently, until peanut butter melts and mixture is smooth. Pour over oatmeal mixture in slow cooker and stir until everything is well blended. Set slow cooker on low. Place cover on top and wedge the handle of a wooden spoon under the lid to hold it open a bit so the the moisture can vent. Cook for about 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. When the granola becomes golden brown, spread it out on a large baking sheet with sides to cool completely. Store cooled granola at room temperature in airtight container.
