In large microwave bowl, melt butter and syrup together. Add remaining dry ingredients excepting baking soda. Mix soda with milk and stir in, mixture will be very runny. Pour in a baking paper lined loaf tin and cook @ 190 degree celcius for 30 to 40 minutes.
